Crazy Question: Can Twitter Make or Break A Show's Success?
On Saturday, I had to endure a four hour trip to go to an art gallery opening. When we had to stop for gas, I would read my timeline on Twitter to see what's going on. I noticed that everyone and their mother was tweeting about the BET Hip Hop Awards happening in the ATL this weekend.
Everyone was tweeting and revealing what was going on that I started to wonder, "What the hell is the point to watch the damn show when I already know what the hell is going to happen and what they are probably going to cut out?"
So, I poise the question: " Can Social Media Effect The Success of a business, a show or even a person?"
As much as we praise social media, can it destroy us at the same time? Think about it, many people threw criticisms at the award ceremony, do you think that people will still tune in? Or, do you think the criticism will help the network?
What do you think?
PS: Next, BET, I suggest you banned anyone from tweeting, facebooking, myspacing, linkedining or whatever-ing about the show next year. You want people to be surprise, I'm just saying.....
Sunday Tea: What's Next for Kelis?
All this week, the jokes were coming left and right against Kelis after what can be called the worst album sales in the history of music!
Her recent album, Fleshtone, only sold a depressing 7,833 copies in its 1st week!!! The album has become the laughing stock (or a fine coaster for some) but I wonder.....is this karma???
As we all know, Kelis and Nas went through a very nasty divorce. She took him to the cleaners and was dubbed "Gold Digger Queen" by fans after milking Nas for everything he has. That being said, is she suffering because of people's disgust? Though, we should judge the art rather than person, are people too bitter that they can't respect the album? Critics even hated the album calling it "a one tone techno mess." The album featuring the song Acapella, went to left for some. Even I, who is a true fan of Kelis didn't understand her direction nor understand why every song sounded the same.
Now, some might argue that this isn't new for Kelis. As a fan (yes, I am still a fan even though I think she has moocher tendencies) Kelis's music has never really gotten the respect it deserved in the US. Overseas, however, this girl is a LEGEND. My friends over in London think she is a god and told me she sell out theaters and stages when she performs unlike her concerts here. So, maybe she just have to give up the US market and stick to her fans overseas. I mean, many American artists gain a strong success overseas and are completely unknown in the States.
However, though her previous albums didn't get huge sales in the US, it was never THIS BAD! I mean she didn't move A UNIT!
So, I poise the question, what's next for Kelis? Can she bounce back from these sales? What went wrong? Did the PR team mess up when pushing the album out?
Though some might not like her, I do and will always be a fan, gold digging and all..
Check out one of my favorite Kelis songs below.....poor thing :-(

Crazy Random: This Is Why I Avoid Miami On Memorial Day
Everyone and their mama flocks down to the Sunshine state to enjoy a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. People save up their pennies in the winter to fly down to South Beach to have fun in the sun. However, for me, personally, I don't want to go to Miami during Memorial Day because...well...to be quite frank....it a HOT, GHETTO ASS, ROLLS SHOWING, SLOPPY MESS!!!!!!! I'm sorry but I consider Memorial Day weekend in Miami to be "hood appreciation" weekend because it seems the ghetto-est(I made that word up), sloppiest chicks and dudes flock down there and act a DAMN fool.
Don't believe me? See for yourselves(If you have a gag-reflex, I suggest you have a garbage can on stand-by)
Mean Muggin' Mondays: Does Your GPA Really Show Your Growth?
Good Evening My Loves!
However, today, I asked myself a question that I feel every college graduate should ask themselves as they prepare to take on the "real world."
Crazy Comics: ARCHIE IS SWIRLIN'?!?!?!?!?!
Thursday Wake Up Call: You Can't Expect Success To Fall On Your Lap
Hello My Crazy Loves!
*Crickets*
I "sponsored" this post because "L stand for Lame, Lazy and LOSER!" Today, as I was enjoying my day off, I received a IM that somewhat bothered me. An acquaintance hit me up to ask me about how am I doing in regards to college/work/life/etc. I told him I am doing good and how everything in my wonderful yet crazy life. I explained that I have my challenges but I am still grinding my way to the top. "Man but it's hard out here for a n*gga," he responded. "N*ggas gotta work to make it out here in these streets, ya dig." (Sorry for the ebonics, I am just telling you what he told me, ya dig!) As I was reading his response, I asked " I know it's hard but have you been looking for a job?" "No," he said." Well, did you finish up at school?" (Side note: I met the guy when I was in high school. I swear I had beer google in high school because HE IS SURELY A DUMBASS!) "Nah man, I really to get this music shit poppin'."

*WALK AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER AND BUSTED OUT LAUGHING!* After composing myself and I replied "So, have you been promoting yourself?"
After giving me a laundry list of excuses , I replied "So, you want this shit for free, then?" I guess that ruffled his feathers because I am still waiting for his reply. This is something that bugs me and I know I am not the only one who feels this way.
I wonder if my people are stuck in the mentality where we expect to get that quick fix of fame, satisfaction yet don't want it come to work for it and expect to get the same fix but not hustle for it. It gets on my nerves when I see people "blame it on the man" for their road block from success because it is not only just that; it is the lack of ambitious and hunger many people lack.
"Everyone wants to be Jay-Z but no one wants to grind like Jay-Z"
When will our generation learn? Just because you sing in the shower doesn't mean you're going to be sing on stage at Madison Square Garden; hell, I know that just because I write on a blog doesn't mean that I am going to be a NY Times Best Seller overnight! However, if I work at it, I will get there!
So I pose the question: Does our generation lack the "grinding" mentality? If so, what needs to be done to be it back?
SMH! No disrespect to my homie but I'm just being honest. If you're mad, Welp, *Kanye Shrug*
Crazy Random: Kid Fury Lights Kat's Ass
What's going on Crazyettes!
Now, I have received tons of tweets, texts and facebook messages asking me if I have heard of the walking herpes Kat Stacks. I've also been asked why I haven't "Mean Mugged" the chick for her tomfoolery and not through in my two cents.
Welp folks, this reason why CPL haven't covered her is because we know that is what she wants. This situation is classic Dirty PR 101:
"No matter how you get your shine, you get that shit." In other words, the fact that I just wasted approximately 156 characters on the bitch is giving her free publicity and I'm not have that shit go down. (Don't be fooled by my quiet demeanor, I turn on the PR Bitch mode LOVELY!)
Though I might've decline on the Kat post, I WILL PROMOTE THE HILARIOUS KID FURY TV EPISODE HIGHLIGHTING THE STUPIDITY THAT IS THIS BITCH LMAO!!!!!! I was waiting for someone to respond to her nonsense, I mean this chick can't be serious?
For Christ's Sake, people are starting to RESPECT Superhead "hustle game." Yes, they even stopped calling her a ho because of this bitch and this frightens me, A LOT!
So, kudos to you Kid Fury! Peep his video here.

Morning Crazy Question: Are Women Naturally Hypocrites?
Today, while I was on my way to work, I overheard a conversation that I made me question the female species, again. These two women, who we will call Babs and Wilma (I was watching Boomerang this morning) were talking about how they can't stand a former acquaintance they have!
During their conversation, they talked about how "this chick is a hoe" and how "she is trifilin' " among other things. Then Babs made the following comment, "Granted I slept with mad dudes but at least I know the names of all of 'em."
::Blank Stare:::
When I heard her say this, I immediately thought she was a bold face hypocrite. All this time she was talking about this girl is a ho and yet you are ho as well.
This probably not the first time I've seen women act hypocritical.
Ladies, have you ever had a friend who said they hated an outfit you wore to a party but then all of a sudden when you are getting ready to go to another function, the trick is wearing the very same thing?
Have you ever told a friend about a guy you were digging and she went on and on about how "he ain't shit." However, fast forward to a couple weeks they are boo'd up?
Even the smallest things like the sneakers you wear to the gym or what pen you use to write can be swagger jacked by a female "friend."
Hell, I have had hypocritical moments in my day. I've told people how I won't join Twitter and how "it's a site of Facebook statuses." Now, I love Twitter so much, I need it like I need coffee, all day everyday!
So, I poise the question, Are women naturally hypocritical? I mean are we prone to think that what's bad for one woman is fly for ourselves?
As you sip on your morning coffee, think about.

Crazy Fashion: I Want These Sneakers, I Need These Sneakers, I Must Have These Sneakers, NOW!
As you Crazyettes might know, my birthday is this Saturday (yay!) and I am on creating my list of things I want to get for my birthday and it should not be of any surprise that I WANT SOME FLY ASS SNEAKERS!
So, thanks to the help of Complex.com (love them! They just don't know it yet ) I found the sneakers that I want you all to get me for my birthday. (Yes, I am telling you all to buy it for me. Therefore, if I scuff up one at least I will have 500 pairs to replace it with :-) )
First up.....
Next Up....
As you all know, I love Creative Recs. They are not on the level of my Supra obsession but I consider them my sneaker version of a Side Piece, (Supras, you know you are always my main squeeze.) The Cesario and The Ponti are too fly and at a cool $70, they will be a fly addition to the spring attire.
And finally, Over by KicksOnFire.com, I found these kicks that represent the girly girl that is inside of me(Granted, I am a tomboy at heart but I have to soften it up, folks.) This adorable women’s high-top is this remake of the classic 1970’s basketball version and features a canvas and leather upper, casual athletic looks and an outsole pattern that calls cues to its hardwood court inspiration, according to the site. Aren't these kicks so like adorable. Like OHMAGOD, I LIKE SOOO WANT THEM :::FLASHES HAIR:::
Now that you know what I want, please go and buy them for me NOW! I will thank you on my birthday with a great big pat on the back :-)
Thank you, I love you, bye bye!
Crazy Random: Umm...Booty Pop???
Good Day Everyone!
As I was enjoying my daily dose of Retro Centric this morning, a commercial came on that made me scratch my head.
First...it was the push-up bra
Then...the spanx
Now....introducing the Booty Pop lmao.
The padded panties enhancing a woman's booty if she is coming up "flat". I'm sorry but isn't this false advertisement to men? I mean dudes who like big asses would probably be crushed when they see that the "donk" you were rocking at the club was fake.
What do you think? Check out the commercial below.
Crazy Random: What Personality Type Are You????
Today is one of those days where for once I don't have a lot of things to do!! Yahoooo!!!!
Since I have the extra free time, I decided to be a lame and take a personality quiz. I've done a personality test before but I never really took those kinds of test seriously. One test I took said that I am conservative and not interested in "being intimate" (which is the politically correct way to say that I don't like sex.) * blank stare* Now I am not a ho and I don't put myself out there but that doesn't mean I am not interested in "being intimate". I am quite interested, thank you very much!! Also, I am FAR FAR FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR from conservative. Lord knows I would probably be the chick to spike the punch at a Republican dinner party just so I can tape them acting a damn fool. (Just saying :-) )
Anyway, I decided to do one now because I heard that this test is somewhat accurate and...well...I am bored.
After taking the test, I must say it hit the nail right on the head. Though a couple of details are off, it does describe me quite well ;-)
Here's what it said about yours truly....
Crazy Random: Michelle Trachtenberg Is A Barbie?!
LMAO!
Michelle Trachetenberg is growing on me. I mean who would have thought Harriet The Spy had a little G in her! First, I she did a very cool cover story with Complex Magazine and now she is taking on a Nicki Minaj verse?! HILARIOUS!
I still can't stand Nicki but watching Michelle Trachetenberg do her verse from Robin Thicke's song, "Shaking It For Daddy." Funny as hell!
Go 'head girl! Spit that verse!
Crazy Random: CAN A GIRL NOT HAVE AN ORGASM?! AND DON'T LIKE ORAL SEX TOO!!!!!!
Hello My Crazy Loves!
If that wasn't enough, homegirl also admitted that she doesn’t like men performing oral sex on her either!!
What do you crazy think? Do you think Jacque has a problem? Do you think that women see sex as "overrated"? I know I don't! HM HM HM HM! lol
Check out the episode of Let's Talk About Pep here! Poor Jacque lol.
TV Recap: Ray J Gone Wild!
I am shock to see how BONKERS and REAL last night's reunion special of For The Love of Ray J went!
Oh my!!!!
For those who missed the chaos here is a brief synopsis of what went down:
-We find out that Jamaican Sports Icon Usain Bolt has no taste in women as we learned that he is "allegedy" dating Lava a.k.a. crazy chic who wanted to keep Ray J hostage in the room in episode 4.
(SMH. Bolt, you lost major brownie points.)
- Luscious, Platinum and
- Jaguar is too classy for Ray J. Ray J admit on the show that he felt guilty
after eliminating Jaguar because she didn't put herself out like the other girls. If I were Ray J, I would marry her! She is someone he could bring home to mama.
- I FEEL SO SO SO BAD FOR MZ. Berry! *Blog Hug*
Mz. Berry had no idea that Ray J not only continue to mess with some of the girls from the show but that he just profess his feelings for Jaguar not long before she came out on stage! *Dies*
Honestly, we all know that Mz. Berry is on a different level than Ray J and the rest of the cast.
And finally....
The fight between season 1 winner Cocktail and Ray J was insane! They both forgot that they were on a show and started to air out each other's business. Wow! I knew Ray J lost it after screamed from the top of his lungs "I gave you your career!" lol! I don't know why Cocktail came on the show but I feel like she was a tad bit bitter that she got dumped by the singer. Plus, I really don't think she cared about getting her shine on the show. I think she wanted put Ray J on blast for hurting her. Nothing like a good dose of a woman's scorn *evil grin*
I am mad the show was only an hour long because it was quite intense and we were left with a lot of unanswered questions.
So as we say so long to this season(and possibly the show for good) we wonder if Ray J got Cocktail jumped? You know he probably called up his Cali homegirls to handle that!
Ridonkulous!
