Crazy Question: Should We Filter With Friends?

Hello My Crazy Loves!

So, today, I think I made boo-boo. I know what you're saying, "I thought at Crazy land you don't care who you piss off" which is true but I think this time I made a boo boo.

To say that my life after college has been crazy would be an understatement; from interviews, working, networking, researching, writing, eating, sleeping and bitching, it's been a crazy world. However, I must say I am proud of myself and what I'm doing. I am an avid believer that you have towards your success rather than wait for it to come.

I am very proud of myself, so you can imagine how annoyed I am when someone tries to trample my happiness with a depressing sorry.

I know this guy. We use to work together a few summers ago and I consider the dude my homie. He's around  my age range and, like every recent graduate, is depressed about the economy and finding a job. HOWEVER, every time I would mention something that I am trying to do, he always respond with,

"Well, it's easy for you, you're a woman."

Now, I know it's hard and I must admit it is challenging for men to find a job at times but every time I would mention something, he would always respond with that very thing.

However, it seems as though I reached my breaking point. I mention some great news I received and I was soooo happy. So, as anyone would do, I shared it with the social media world and sure enough I get an IM,

"I really should do a sex change or something. Lucky you."

I don't know if it was because I didn't drink any coffee or if my feet were hurting in my heels but.....I.....SNAPPED!

It was as if I was possessed by the crazy woman in me and began to reply with vengeance,

" YOU KNOW WHAT?! THE REASON WHY I AM MAKING MOVES IS BECAUSE I AM PUTTING MYSELF OUT THERE AND DOING WHAT I HAVE TO DO. YOU LAZY MOTHER FUCKERS ALWAYS FIND AN EXCUSE RATHER THAN ADMIT THAT YOU'RE NOT DOING SHIT TO BETTER THEMSELVES"

It was not until today I realize what I wrote and I feel bad :-(  Though, I do feel he is a lazy mother(shut yo mouth), I think I could have presented a tad bit better....

So, I poise the question:
Should We Filter With Our Friends? Though some might be depressing, should be filter the things we say to be understanding and sympathetic?

It is a hard to for any graduate but I mean, I'm human, right???

SOUND OFF!

Thursday Hate Mail: Hate On You? Oh no!!!

Top of the afternoon folks!

Happy Thursday!

I know you all are use to getting the "eye candy" and "grooves"at the start of your day but we here at crazy land are in a hating mood. Therefore, we are going to spill the hate on YOU.

Today, during my coffee time, I was getting my twitter fix when I stumbled upon something that pissed me off!

Have you ever stumbled upon a tweet that sounds like this:

"Fuck niggas hating on me! I get money, y'all just haters" or " Fuck bitches, they just jealous of my swag" or my personal fav " I gets money, I count stacks all day."

After read stuff like this all day, I have only one thing to say:

YOU'S A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on son!

I swear I get so mad when I see individuals hype up their "swag" as something that people hate on all the time. Who has time for you? Stop the foolishness!

What annoys me even more is when we all know that the life these individuals claim to have is non-existent. Most of these cats that you hear saying they pop bottles all day and making all these allegations on how rich they are the cashiers at your local Target. For example, an individual (who I won't put on blast because I am not trying to be sued) claims that's he "drop stacks at the Gucci store." However, in his profile pictorial (yes, I say pictorial) homie have on the Shaq's line of sneakers from payless.

*Pause for reaction*

Now, I might just be cranky but all I am saying is no one has time to hate on YOU! Stop the nonsense! When individual do these things it is silently telling your "haters" that they are getting to you. It also show that you don't love enough  because if you need to pump up your own image to make yourself feel better, you probably don't know your self-worth.

Everyone in this world has someone who does not like them or "hates" on them but a real, strong leader doesn't constantly tweet about how great their lives are. Why waste time tweeting about your life when you  can live it. As the saying goes: "My life, your entertainment." Entertain them haters of yours by enjoying your like to the fullest. NOW STOP WITH THE CROCK OF SHIT TWEETS!

Thank you and good day :-)

Friday Eye Candy: Respect the Hustle

Happy Friday!!!!

Boy, am I happy to see this day. Lord knows I am uber tired and damn sure know a glass of mojito is calling my name!
For today's eye candy, it wasn't based on his looks per say. I based my choice on the fact that he is a true hustler.

Last night, during my "let's watch black folks television" time, I stumbled upon the BET special featuring Jay-Z. Now, I am going to keep it real, I don't think Jigga man is no sex machine or anything, but there is something that is so intoxicating about this man.

Let's face it, the man is a great business man. While other rappers are getting arrested over nonsense, Mr. Carter is in the cut buying an island or something. (Well, I don't know if he would buy an island but he wanted to he could.)

I was so attracted to his swagger that I actually did not change the channel and this is an accomplishment for me because I need to take at least five second intervals during my "watching black folks" time to get my chai tea or something.

Watching Mr. Carter was a real pleasure as well as an inspiring one. Hopefully, one day I will be able to be like Mr. Carter and dominate the entertainment industry.

Go Jay-Z! Represent for the Soup Coolers People of America!!!!!!!!!!! (I am a proud member of that crew, AND WHAT?!)

:-)

To salute today's eye candy, check out his latest video featuring Swizz Beatz. This song is my theme song of the year, On To The Next One.

"I got a milion ways to get....choose one" :-p Enjoy!

Saturdazzee: See You At The Crossroads...

Oh the vicious 20s!!!!

You are old enough to get into your favorite nightclubs and be on your own, living the "adult" life
but young enough to lounge around and watch Saturday morning cartoons with pride. A period in your life where you have to deal with your very 1st pile of bills, rejection/ heartbreak, and your first grey hair.

As a 21-Year Old, Fresh-Out-Of -College, young NY chica, I am going through these dreaded years and personally, I am going mad!

*Pulls Hair*

I know where I want to go in my life, but damn! damn! damn! must it be so stressful? For example, my dream has always been to take over the media world by storm. I want Crazyprettylady to make a strong name for itself, but of course in order for me to do so, I have to be the coffee-getting, errands running intern in the game. It works my nerves that I have to work my way from the bottom, but hell I don't come from a rich family and I am not willing to get on my knees and do something strange for a piece of change, so I have to do what I do.

Going through these years are a gift and a curse all at the same time but will it be worth it? Lets call it what is, the decisions I decide to make from now probably will affect my income, my happiness, my relationships, my career and most importantly, my sanity! *wipes sweat* That is a lot to take on, but for some weird strange reason, I like the challenge that I could potentially destroy or create my life story. I mean, it is somewhat of a reward to have the opportunity to make your mark in this universe. I am not going to lie, I am Sh*tting bricks due to my fear of not knowing what's to come, but I kind of like it!

So, as I sit here, paying my bills, watching my bank account go down with every payment I make, looking at apartments that I have to probably strip for living in order to afford them, I take pride that though it is a struggle, it is my struggle, my story, my journey. If I mess up or if I succeed, it is because I did on my own.

So to all that is going through this phase in life, keep yuh head up! We all will make it through this high tech storm and before you know it, you will be 30 years old wishing to go back to your 20th birthday to do it all over again.

Cheers!
