Crazy Random: What Happen To Baby Making Music?
Hello My Crazy Lovers and Friends,
So today as I had my random moments in the library, I veered away from doing my paper to take some time to explore You Tube. That is when I came across some classic jams! "Knockin The Boots" By H-Town and "Please Don't Go" By Boyz II Men had me grinding in my seat fantasizing about things I will not share (listen, my mind can be a tad bit too freaky so I will keep my thoughts to MYSELF! hehehe) After listening to a whole bunch of songs, I suddenly asked myself the question, " Why don't we have baby making music anymore?!?!?!"
Let's face it, when anyone thinks about setting the mood for a night of "adult exercising" *wink* , they tend to go for classic artists from the past rather than artists of today. People look to Luther's smooth voice and Barry's "Hey baby" to help them in the zone. I mean you can argue that artists like Trey Songz, Usher and even Chris Brown are trying to bring back the days of "panty dropper" music but the essence of the classics still seem to have a much stronger effect on people after all these years. Honestly, many songs of today like"Grind On Me" or "Take You Down" might last and make you groove for a minute, but nothing can compare to the simple phrase "My mind is telling me no..."(you know the rest.)
Now, I am not knocking music of today. I mean, I literally watched Trey Songz's "Invented Sex" 2323 times(well 2324 now :-) ). What I am saying is that the essence of the past need to be reincarnated and fixed to accomodate today's audience. We can never have another Teddy Pendergrass singing about "Turning Off The Lights" but we can definitely enjoy the sounds of Usher singing about taking it "Nice and Slow" :-)
So, to set the mood of this post, I will share the song that I have been listening to over and over and has kept my imagination going wild all day ....
Enjoy folks!
