In Crazy News: NC Girl body found; Violence hits NYC streets; Wendy Williams get renewed!!!!!
This story is just plain sad...
In Sandford, N.C., Shaniya Davis, the 5-year-old little girl who went missing was found dead off a wooded road Monday. According to the Associated Press, Police has charged mother of the child, Antoinette Davis, for human trafficking and child abuse after acccusing the 25-year old for offering her daughter up for prostitution. This is just sick and twisted. If the mother is really responsible for this, I hope she dies a cruel death as she showed no mercy to her own child. Sounds harsh, yes, but you can't say that you wouldn't feel the same.....
Also in depressing news....
Please send your prayers over to the family of 15-year-old Vada Vasquez. According to the NY Daily News, the innocent teen is fighting for her life after a stray bullet hit her in the head while walking pass a dispute Monday. The shots were fired by an un-identified bicycle-riding gunman who wanted to reliate at another man, un-related to Vasquez, after accusing the man of "snitching."
Now, this is the BS that I can't stand. PEOPLE, A GUN DOES NOT MAKE YOU STRONG; A GUN MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A B%$&H! This poor teen is now fighting for her life over nonsense.
On a sidenote, BET's Top 10 music countdown show106 and Park dedicated their show to talk more about Teen and Gun Violence. I watched some of it and from what I saw, I am truly impressed. I like the fact that the show is bringing back the vibe from the old-school BET show, Teen Summit, and they are starting to deal with issues effecting their young viewers, bravo!
Here is a clip of a show they have done in last month, featuring Nas talking about teen violence...
Now on a happy note...
CONGRATS TO MY FRIEND IN MY HEAD, WENDY WILLIAMS!!!
The radio-turned-daytime television queen has just been renewed for TWO more seasons! YAY! Congrats to her! FYI, Morris Chestnut was on today's show and GOD DAMN, he still got it :-)
