Happy Valentine's Day From CrazyPrettyLady
Ahhhhhh, it's that time of the year! The time of year where everyone is in the mood for love! It's Valentine's Day!
Today is the day when lovers all around this crazy world make those special dinner reservations, buy those pretty flowers and watch owners of greeting card companies plan their huge vacation after seeing their bonus from Valentine's Day card sales.
However, it is also that time of the year where #f*cklove become the #1 hashtag for many without a Valentine. Singles take to twitter or facebook to denounce love, express their feelings on how "love stinks" and wear black all day as they're in mourning.
For me, as someone who recently got traded to play on the singles' team, today is a day filled with happiness and love because I've found the best Valentine of all - myself.
I make the best Valentine because I can cook, I workout, I keep the toilet seat down AND I'm f*cking hot. :-)
So, enjoy Valentine's Day everyone!
And to all my single friends out there, remember the best thing to do to get over one guy......is to replace him with a new one!

Dictionary Definition: Fear (noun) - a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid*
The four-letter word "fear" has so much power than anyone can imagine. Many individuals' lives are stagnant due to the fear of falling in love, the fear of growth or the fear of being honest with oneself. Though our pride might sugar-coat things, fear can divert someone off the road to success.
For me, I strongly dislike (not hate....strongly dislike) to admit my fears. I would rather hide my emotions before I would ever let an individual know what can make me shake in my boots. However, if we as human beings pride ourselves to be authentic, why should we be afraid.... of being afraid?
Nothing is guranteed in this world and a happy ending isn't always promised but never trying gurantees us a boring life. Facing your fears are the spicy moments the universe likes to throw at us to help us become stronger. The difference between a success leader and a boring follower is that one person decided to conquer their fears and take a chance.
So, going into this week, I challenge all of my Crazy folks to live fearlessly and take a f*cking chance! Profess your love for someone, talk to your boss about that promotion, wear that tight dress to the club, conquer your fears and just do it! Do not think about the negative outcome.You only live once. I'm not saying you should do illegal things....I'm saying that you should just live.

Crazy Question: Should Social Media Affect Your Career???

I know you all have heard this classic story at your place of employment: An employee tweets about how their boss is being a witch. The company finds out about the tweet and before Friday, the employee is being escorted out of the building.
Or, you probably have heard of this story: An employee decides to post pictures from a fun,crazy night in the club on Facebook. Those pictures of them grabbing their BFF's butt as well as them making out with that random dude at the bar gets into the wrong hands and before you know it, the Human Resource department calls that employee into their office.
Throughout my young life, I have heard MANY horror stories about how social media led to the downfall of some one's career. Some companies have even created departments that focus solely on monitoring the social media activity of the company, including what their workers are posting, tweeting, instagraming, foursquaring,etc. (I bet you didn't know that, huh? Makes you think twice about making that picture of you in pum pum shorts your default pic?)
However, is it right for companies to go to this extreme? Social media is suppose to be a platform to say what you want, when you want. So, should our careers be affected by our freedom of booty poppin' on a handstand? Should we be afraid of expressing ourselves on our own twitter page? Should men not be the mayor of Sue's Revendous on Four Square because they might loose their job?
I can argue for and against this practice but what do you think? Should your latest social media status jeopardize your employment status?

Sunday Tea: You Can't Always Get What You Want......You Get What You Need
Good Morning Boys and Girls!
In life, we are always taught to strive for the impossible. In college, people would stay up until the wee hours of the morning studying in order to achieve an A on a test. In our career, people will work hard in order to achieve great success. In our relationships, people work to maintain the strength of their romance in order to have a long lasting love.
In everything that we do, we put 110% into it because we know that the outcome will be great but what happens when you put your all into something and the results aren't what you want?
I consider myself to be a modified perfectionist. I always want everything to work out the way that I want it to. I give my all into everything that I do but sometimes, the results aren't that great. Why does that happen, you ask? Is it a waste of time to put your effort into things?
My answer is simple: "What we might want in our lives might not be what we need in our lives." The Universe has a funny way of placing us into certain situations that we never saw coming. Students fail an exam. People lose their jobs. Relationships break up. Friends lose contact with each other. All these situations might occur when we least expect it but in order for change and growth to occur, something drastic needs to happen. We are not "wasting our time" in life when bad things happen, it is the universe way of showing us to take a different path in our to gain want we truly deserve.
So, I challenge all of you out there in Crazy Land to never be discourage when things don't go your way. Everything happens for a reason so take the lesson that you learn from the situation, compare and contrast and move forward.

Crazy Cocktail: Cocktail Under 150 Calories!!!!!!

Like every woman in the world, my New Year's Resolution for 2012 is to get back into my shape and regain my abs of steel! I've cut back on fatty foods. I drink tons of water and I'm working out like a solider! However, there's one thing standing in my path to a six pack and that is...........ALCOHOL.
However, after much research, I've find found a cocktail that not only is delicious but IT'S UNDER 150 CALORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *e-flips*
This modified take on a mojito taste amazing and you won't have to worry about popping out of your freakum dress. :-)

Slushy Watermelon Mojitos (Recipe Via My Recipes.com )
Ingredients
5 cups cubed seeded watermelon
1 cup sparkling water, chilled
3/4 cup white rum
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint 1 (6-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, undiluted
Mint springs (optional) Lime slices (optional) $
- Arrange watermelon in a single layer on a baking sheet; freeze 2 hours or until completely frozen.
- Combine frozen watermelon, sparkling water, rum, mint, and limeade in a blender; process until smooth.
- Garnish with mint sprigs and lime slices, if desired. Serve immediately.

I know that I'm not the only person who says this but I MISS R&B MUSIC!!!!!!!! I know that R&B is still around but today's music sounds more like techno then R&B. I miss R&B songs that make you cry, sing-a-long and basically act a fool when you are sitting at your desk at work because you love the song so much!

This morning during my daily gossip blog browsing session, I stumbled upon Nicki Minaj's new video "Stupid Hoe". In the
Viewers verbally ripped the video to shred saying that the video was "degrading" and how Nicki ain't.....(you know what I mean). I find it truly hilarious to see the "haters" hate because the same people who watched the 3:30 minute video will be the same individual dropping it like its hot in the club screaming at the top of their lungs that this song is their "jam."
Have you ever noticed that it's always the ones who show the most animosity towards an individual, supports them the most all in the same breath?
Case in point: The Kardashian Family
To be perfectly honest, when I first listened to Nicki's new song, I thought my ears were going to bleed. However, I have no shame to admit that if I hear "Stupid Hoe" in the club and I've drank one too many vodka cranberries, I will be in the middle of the dance floor twerking it to this very same song.
The point is, it makes absolutely no sense to hate on an individual if you're going to secretly support them in the end. At the end of the day, you look like a "stupid hoe, you a you a stupid hoe".

After two years of being out of college, I've realized one major lesson: the higher you climb up the corporate ladder, the smaller your support team gets.
As you grow, you learn to deal with the side eye and judgments of former friends. You learn that as your job title changes so will the title of your relationships with friends, family and even a significant others.
As sad as that might sound, it actually isn't all that bad. In life, any successful person knows that you have to lose certain things in order to gain. That being said, it comes with the territory when friends that you use to go out with all the time now avoids you because they feel that you are "bougie". It comes with the territory when family members don't speak to you anymore because you didn't give them the $500 to pay their rent.
So, I challenge everyone to embrace their loses and focus on their growth. Everything happens for a reason so keep your head up and watch your stock rise! :-)
And for the people who are mad at you because you are growing, decidate this song to them and let them know you appreciate their time :-)

Crazy Question: Would You Hook Up With A Random Person From A Night Club?
Living in NYC is the best thing that can ever happen to a 20-something year old. There's so much to do as well as the nightclubs are always fun. However, there is ONE key thing that annoys the crap out of me when I go out.
Now, I know that sometimes when you mix alcohol and great music, things might happen but I don't understand why people RANDOMLY HOOK UP with complete strangers they meant at the club. These drunk, incoherent chicks feel the need to find the best guy that looks decent through their beer goggles and randomly hook up with them and all I have to say to that is, why?
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in c*ck blocking at all. I also believe that everyone should get a little loving from time to time but I feel that when you hook up with a random dude in the club, it's like your licking a toilet bowl. Sure, I might be exaggerating a bit but making out with a stranger is too much of a wild card.What do you think? Would you hook up with someone you just meant?

Saturday Tea: Find The Courage

On my quest to be the best little lady possible, I realized that though I pushing myself to be the best, I am also holding myself back. Why, you ask? All my life, I've always wanted to be the best at whatever I do.
Whether it was school, work, sports or talking -ish, I've always wanted to be the best. However, I realized that's not healthy.
If we live in a world where we all are perfect, then life would be so lame! That's why I vow to not look into things TOO much and just live!

Crazy Question: Can Twitter Make or Break A Show's Success?
On Saturday, I had to endure a four hour trip to go to an art gallery opening. When we had to stop for gas, I would read my timeline on Twitter to see what's going on. I noticed that everyone and their mother was tweeting about the BET Hip Hop Awards happening in the ATL this weekend.
Everyone was tweeting and revealing what was going on that I started to wonder, "What the hell is the point to watch the damn show when I already know what the hell is going to happen and what they are probably going to cut out?"
So, I poise the question: " Can Social Media Effect The Success of a business, a show or even a person?"
As much as we praise social media, can it destroy us at the same time? Think about it, many people threw criticisms at the award ceremony, do you think that people will still tune in? Or, do you think the criticism will help the network?

PS: Next, BET, I suggest you banned anyone from tweeting, facebooking, myspacing, linkedining or whatever-ing about the show next year. You want people to be surprise, I'm just saying.....
